Happy Birthday I Heart Faces

Happy Birthday to I Heart Faces. For their 1st birthday, they're lookin' for great faces.

This was taken with ye olde trusty cell phone - those moments you can only hope to capture when they happen. So it might be blurry and the lighting isn't great, but it screams cuteness.

I had just picked Addison up from school and on some days, I'm lucky to get her with a new 'do - pig tails, pom-poms and the like. Today I laughed and just admired their handy work - frizzy little balls of hair on top of her head...

On the way home, we sing and laugh and play... and then she fights me for my water bottle... so I hurry to finish almost all of it so that way when I had it to her, there's only a little left and I can rest knowing that if she spills it, it won't be too much of a disaster.

The pic was taken seconds after that first sip... and the smirk says, "Ha ha! I've got your water, momma!"

Yes you do, darlin'. Yes you do.

Happy Birthday I Heart Faces... And Happy Birthday to you Addison... just a few more weeks til you turn 2. Love ya.

My Second Noel!

It's Christmas Time...
First we celebrated with Lala, Poppi & Gigi... boy oh boy - there was lots of stuff to open! I got a bean bag chair (see mom's new favorite pic at right... I love these things!) and a kitchen set which I adore and lots of other cool toys too... I didn't know where to start....
Then we were off to Crystal River to visit Nana & Poppop and Aunt Peggy and Uncle Jack and Mr. & Mrs. H and Cuz' Calvin and Auntie Carol (hope she's feelin' better!) and we had so much fun. [Daddy got to play lots' o' golf, too.] Here I am when we first arrived reading books with Nana.
I even did my fair share of chores. (But only because I would get Golden Oreos in return... mmm, my new favorite!)

Here's my doggie on Christmas... mommy took this cool pic with her new camera from Lala & Poppi... Once mom figures out how to upload video, you'll get to see my Christmas!

22-Months & Hangin' With Lizards

I am a girly girl. Sometimes. I often request my purse, keys and glasses when going on an outing with mommy. But I like to get dirty *(a little) sometimes too.
Yesterday, I turned 22 months old. Mommy decided to let me explore outside. I found this tiny baby lizard. I didn't touch him though even though mom said it was okay. We found lots more lizards later and saw our neighbors walking their dogs. It was a beautiful day outside.

I-Heart-Faces Sweet Dreams

This week's photo challenge at I-Heart-Faces is called "Sweet Dreams". I remembered a few serene photos of Addison as a baby... when they still have that "peaceful, easy feelin'"...

Here - a blast from the past - at 18 weeks old - she had just gotten her ears pierced. She slept a good part of that day and this is just one of the gems we took. Hard to imagine her that small... and that hairless now...

She's an Angel now.

Patrick & Lisa Merhige Knight, 11/7/09

Mommy's friend is an angel now. That's what she told me. She said she was always an angel but that now she has her wings and is watching over us. Mommy is sad that Lisa isn't here anymore. Mommy told me that I was going to have a little friend soon but Baby Knight got their wings too. I told her, "It's okay mom. We will see them in time. For now, they sing and pray for us here on Earth."

Mommy's Note: Please be vigilant in your prayers for Patrick Knight, his family, and the family and friends of Carla Merhige and Lisa Merhige Knight --- we all lost two of the most angellic people you could ever have the pleasure of meeting. Please pray too for the Sitton family.

I-Heart-Faces Autumn Beauty

I couldn't help resist entering I-Heart-Faces' theme this week - Autumn Beauty. Yea, yea, we're in Florida and we only have two seasons - hot and humid, and hotter-and-humider... but, you can see on this beautiful day on a farm tour in the Redlands, there were leaves on the ground! It was a gorgeous day, complete with fresh carambola right off the tree.
